How to find a company's SEC filings

Enter a company name, ticker symbol, or CIK and this page creates a link to EDGAR's official search. A CIK is the SEC's identifier for a filer. If you search by name or ticker, confirm the issuer name and CIK in EDGAR before relying on a result; similar names and multiple securities can make a broad search ambiguous.

Use the form selector to request 10-K, 10-Q, or 8-K filings. A Form 10-K is an annual report, a Form 10-Q is a quarterly report, and a Form 8-K is a current report. EDGAR search may return amendments, such as 10-K/A, as well as the selected form. Review the filed date, reporting period, issuer, and document title on SEC.gov. This tool only prepares a search link; it does not fetch, interpret, or verify filings.

How do I check that I found the right company?

Compare the issuer name and CIK shown in EDGAR with the company you intended to research. A ticker can be reused or shared across markets, and a company name search can match more than one filer. When you know the CIK, searching by it can help narrow the results.

What do 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K mean?

They are SEC form types: 10-K is an annual report, 10-Q is a quarterly report, and 8-K is a current report. Read the filing itself for the reporting period and context. Form labels alone do not summarize the contents or indicate whether a development is favorable.

Sources and date

Accessed 2026-11-03: the SEC EDGAR full-text search accepts a ticker, company name, or CIK and provides filing filters. The SEC's Forms Index identifies 10-K as an annual report and 10-Q as a quarterly report; its EDGAR research guide describes 8-K as a current report. Search results and filed documents remain on SEC.gov.
