Schedule shown in US Eastern Time (ET). This checks the published general NYSE calendar; extraordinary closures and market-specific exceptions may not be reflected. Not financial advice.

How does the NYSE calendar lookup work?

The lookup classifies Saturdays and Sundays as non-trading days, checks the NYSE-published holiday dates for 2026, 2027, and 2028, and treats other weekdays in those years as scheduled core-session days. It separately labels the early core closes published for the day after Thanksgiving and, in 2026, Christmas Eve; the exchange lists a 1:00 p.m. ET core close on those early-close dates. On a regular core-session day, NYSE lists 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET.

NYSE’s holiday page lists dates for all NYSE markets and marks holiday observances. For example, Independence Day is observed Friday, July 3 in 2026, while the day after Thanksgiving is an early-close day on Friday, November 27, 2026. The official page is the authority for the published schedule; this page reproduces its 2026–2028 dates and was checked on 2026-11-03.

What are the limits of this calendar?

This is a date lookup based on the published annual schedule, not a live exchange status feed. NYSE can announce an extraordinary closure or a schedule change after publication. Different NYSE venues and products can also have different sessions; the times shown here describe the core trading session, not pre-opening, early, late, options, or bond sessions. Check the official NYSE hours and calendar before relying on a date.

Accessed 2026-11-03: NYSE Holidays & Trading Hours publishes holiday dates for 2026–2028, core session hours, and early-close notes. NYSE’s Trading Information page also lists the core session as 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET.

Frequently asked questions

What time zone are the hours in?

All displayed session times use US Eastern Time (ET), as specified by NYSE. The page does not convert a session into your local time zone.

Does a weekday always mean the NYSE is open?

No. NYSE holidays close the market, and an extraordinary closure or later schedule update can change a date. The lookup covers published holidays for 2026–2028 only.

Does the calendar show premarket or every NYSE product?

No. It reports the core trading session only. Other venues, products, and extended sessions can have different hours; consult the linked NYSE schedule.
